Knitting Every Wednesday.

Knitting Every Wednesday

Hi, I’m Lucinda.

I’m a content marketing geek. I help businesses to get more inbound leads, improve customer retention and make more repeat sales.

When I was a kid I was SO excited about starting Kindergarten.

I was the youngest of 4 girls, but with an 8 year age gap I sometimes felt a little left out at home. I was looking forward to starting “big school”, making some new friends and getting my own lunch box.

But most of all, I was excited because they were going to teach me to knit.

My parents weren’t going to send me to school. We were a home educating family.

But ever since I had learned that they did knitting I had begged and begged until my name was on the register.

The big day came. I picked up my lunch box and trotted off into school.

The next few weeks were great. I skipped into school and skipped out at the end of the day.

But then things started to change.

School wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. I soon found myself curled up in a ball on the kitchen floor, pleading with my mum for her not to send me again.

But my mum was confused. I had begged and begged her to let me go.

“I don’t want to go to school anymore” I wailed.

“Why not?” My mum asked.

“ Because I don’t want to do knitting every Wednesday!” I sobbed through my knees.

“I thought you wanted to learn to knit?” She replied.

“I did! But not EVERY Wednesday” I cried.

The reality of consistency had hit me. The same task at the same time. Every. Single. Week.

I’m telling you this story because I am pretty sure you can relate.

When you first started your company blog it seemed like a brilliant idea. You like to write, you might even have a little talent.

You started off strong, tap-tapping away at your keyboard and posting a fresh new post every Wednesday.

But then the novelty wore off.

What was once a shiny new idea became just another task on your to do list. Your ideas dried up, your schedule got busy and the last thing you wanted to do was write another blog post.

It’s your own version of knitting every Wednesday.

The thing is, consistency is king when it comes to content. You HAVE to post regularly if you want to get results.

But you don’t have to do it yourself. That’s what we’re here for.

So how did the story end? I left school and went on to be home educated like my sisters. I took my GCSEs early, went to college to study Law & Psychology before starting my own business aged 18.

I now outsource ALL my knitting.
